Very nice to have your own place in Kauai -- kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer -- for cheaper than you'd get at many of the local hotels. Just returned from 2 weeks in Poipu at Poipu Shores. This is the second time we stayed there and we love it. We were on the second floor and the unit was lovely - extrememly well stocked kitchen (way more than any condo I've ever been in). We had great whale watching from our Lanai. Stayed at Poipu Shores 106A for eight nights. Great place to relax. The sound of the surf is amazing. When a wave hits just right, it literally sounds like cannon fire. It is just an easy five-minute walk to Brennecke beach, which has perfect waves for boogie boarding, and just a couple more minutes beyond is Poipu beach. The kitchen... more

We spent a week at Poipu Shores and loved it. We only saw dolphins once but spent the week staring at the turtles and the ocean crashing on the lava rock. The Condo overlooked the pool and Poipu Beach. Even though Poipu is considered crowded, the location of this condo was away from traffic but still close to the beaches.... more
