I saw Halakala Cottage while staying at the Rainbow Honemyoom Lookout.
It is a lovely cottage with a private hot tub, use of the pool and totally private. I believe it had a full kitchen with a hot shower under the starts. Just thought I would fill you in on the great place.
I think the prices are still under $200 a night at the Haleakala Cottage...I send my clients there who don' t want the resorts anymore but are on a thin budget more
