I have to laugh at the other reviews. I would never hesitate to stay again. All these pre-maddonas, who think it should be a 5-star hotel for 100 buckaroos crack me up! In fact staying there has always been a highlight. We do it every year and stay 2 nights. After getting ripped off all over Maui, it's nice to... more

I have actually stayed here several times as we live on Maui an often take guests over to Hana as a side trip. All of the places we normally stay, were booked, so we stayed at the Aloha Cottages. I had reservations as the previous stay we quote dismal, however, it was the only game in town so to speak. If... more

We stayed one night at Aloha Cottages (Cottage #3, one bedroom) in February 2009. We checked in with Mrs. Nakamura who was very helpful in giving us information on the area. We did not meet Mr. Nakamura as we checked out early the next morning. The location of this cottage provides a view of Hana Bay and is conveniently located.... more

We knew this place would be no frills but for a cheap stay in Hana it's not so bad. There was a kitchenette and two rooms in our rental- not very clean by any means but we had planned on camping initially so it was a step up from that. Everything was fine, we only stayed one night so the... more

Although I had read all the negative reviews regarding the Aloha Cottages I was determined to check it out for myself. My freind and I took the road to Hana early in the morning. Although we knew we were not suppose to check in until 1:00 we decided to drop by the cottage at 9:00 just to let them know... more

Please do not stay at Aloha Cottages. We actually ended up not staying here because we just had to leave. My family and I (husband, toddler, mom and dad, brother and wife) attempted to stay here on sept 11 and we just couldn't do it. The caretakes is a sweet old lady who gave us fresh banana from her tree... more

My friends and I have stayed at Aloha Cottages in the past and have had good experiences (we go simply for the cheap price and a place to sleep). We have always stayed in the cottages closest to Hana Bay. Last time we stayed in one of these units we were told we could not use the BBQ because the... more

Well my last review was based on my experiences at Aloha Cottages in Hana, Maui... but I've since had a terrible experience. This time I had friends with me so we were FIVE MINUTES late for leaving. The man owner completely blew a gasket on us. Yelling, slamming doors in our faces and all but threw our stuff on the... more

Disgusting! Filthy Nasty! Horrifying! You could not pay me to stay again! If it was the last hotel in Hana, I'd camp! I have traveled extensively for many years, staying at all levels of hotels and motels. I have never in my life seen anything as disgusting as Aloha Cottages. And I had to sleep there! We prepaid, so we... more
