The Hana Bay Hale has a good location with nice views within walking distance to town. There were a few things I really liked but there were a number of offsetting things that brought the whole experience down a few notches. I really liked the views off the lanai, even though you are across the street from the ocean, and... more

Hana Bay Hale is just okay. It looks okay, the rooms are fairly large, but if you scratch the surface you feel like the owners are trying to get as much money as they can without putting much money into it. Limited places to even sit. "Hot tub" an inflate job. The kitchen is stocked, but mostly with items that... more

Arrived directly from the airport on Friday night and stayed 2 nights. It was dark when we arrived and we were having a heck of a time with the front door. Called the number given and they were very nice about the tricks to the sticky door. I picked this place because it had king beds in each of the... more

It was ok. We couldn’t ask for more with that price. $198 a night for the 4 of us. I wasn't very comfortable. They ask you to not wear shoes in the room but the floor was pretty dusty and filthy, difficult to relax walking on barefoot like that. The bathroom was disappointing, black spots on cracks around the bathtub.... more

I was looking for a place on the water with a nice view of the bay. We were very disappointed when we found the place across the street and the view blocked by a dozen power lines and quite a bit of tree growth. The photos on the website don't speak the truth. I stayed in the middle deluxe unit.... more

We stayed here overnight on May 2nd. After reading through some of the negative reviews on this website, I feel the need to give our updated, balance review. We stayed in both of the one-bedroom units. The units were very clean, which we were pleased about. No evident mold, major dirt, etc. (and we are very picky about cleanliness). The... more

I had a chance to stay in the 2 bedroom suite in March 2008. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the view was spectacular. It was a few minutes walk to either the beach in Hana or the general store. There is a full kitchen in the 2 bedroom unit, making it really convenient to enjoy all of the... more

We stayed here for the sole purpose of needing a place to crash after doing the road to Hana. The rates were reasonable: a one-bedroom “suite” for $220 including the extra cleaning fee for one night stays. The Kauiki suite was plenty spacious, and it had a nice hardwood floor and high ceiling with ceiling fans. There was a decent... more

This was our third visit to Hana, the first in nine years. This time, we had another family member, so we needed accomodations that would provide privacy for a couple and a single person. The shoji screen arrangement of Hana Bay Hale was perfect. We were there for two nights. The location is near the center of Hana, both the... more
