We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Maui. Kay Ryan at MauiKay.com, our travel consultant, made all the arrangemnt at Hyatt. We had a wonderful experience at the pool, walking around the swan court, watching naughty (evil!) Penguins, and the 40 yr old parrot. THis hotel suffers from what I call the "priceline phenomena". I did get the room on priceline. Kaanapali is very busy with many large hotels. It reminds me of some large resort areas in Mexico. Not really my idea of a restful vacation. The luau was awesome and worth every penny. They have recently reformatted it so do see it.... more

this hotel rocks. the staff was super friendly. they upgraded us from a parking lot view to a deluxe ocean front room for free. the ocean front rooms have a great view and a deck. the lobby is beautiful, they even have penguins hanging out. the have a great little mall with a macy's that has all the swim wear... more
