We spent 6 nights at the Hyatt Regency Maui and had a wonderful time. This is primarily because we spent little time in our room, which was WAY past due for an update. We were in a king oceanview room in the main tower and the view was great, but if you are a light sleeper the open-air atrium can... more

I have never written a review but use them all the time to make sure I get exactly what I am looking for.. in this case I am disapointed in the Hyatt.. the grounds are very nice and the location is fine, but the rooms.. hardly a 4 star hotel they are in serious need of a upgrade, they smelled... more

The Hyatt in Kaanapali was a great honeymoon for us. The hotel itself was spotless and very well kept. We were a little concerned with the resort as we were looking for a couples only resort. That was not a problem at all! They have seperate pools and areas, which are on the other side of the resort, for children... more

We were very disappointed with the room (old and the bed was not comfortable at all). Also we enjoy spending time at the beach and this was really not as expected. They had a really small area with cabana's that were impossible to get and stood on a small hill by the hotel. If you want to have a nice,... more

The reviews that call for updating are right. There is a tired feel about the hotel. But the plantings and exotic birds throughout are still pretty interesting. The bed was very comfortable and the shower, while small, had a great shower head and great water pressure. The fitness center was really nice and the beach walk out front was the... more

My husband, 3 kids and I just got back from Maui. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. We did a few side trips, but were perfectly happy just staying on the propery. It is lovely and well maintained. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The water slide was being repaired when we got there, so they upgraded our... more

This is a very dated hotel and the rooms are in desperate need of renovating. Our hearts sunk when we saw the room. Dated carpet and old wooden furniture. The bathrooms are very small, the shower is over the bath and the toilet is not seperate. We had been to two other islands previously and both of the hotels there... more

My wife and I recently stayed two nights at the Hyatt on Kaanapali Beach - and we wish it was longer! The hotel is amazing and beautiful; we can't say enough good things about it. Upon arrival the front desk upgraded us to a full ocean view with two balconies - the room was so incredible sometimes we didn't want... more

Tried Umalu at the Hyatt and the food is incredible. Casual atmosphere with great service. You have to try the Mahi taco's for lunch and the taro crusted Mahi for dinner. I could eat there everyday there's so much to choose from. Oh and the poke nachos, I've never heard of it before and it's fabulous if you love raw... more

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Maui the first week of May. Once again, wonderful service, great room, great everything! I can't understand why some nitpick this hotel. As for those who are dissatisfied with the partial ocean view rooms, you need to request the Napili tower if you want a good partial o/v. I too wouldn't want to overlook... more
