Wow! what a terrific vacation as my wife and I loved our choice of staying at truely "Hawaii's most Hawaiin Hotel" The grounds here are beautifully landscaped and without being overcrowded. The goregeous beach is just a 50 yard walk away and there's fantastic snorkeling within a 5 minute walk down the beach, don't need to spend a lot of... more

Others say this hotel is a plain jane, I thought it very charming. The staff is incredible, they go way out of their way to be helpful and generous. When I asked questions about places to eat and things to do I felt like I got a "local" perspective and not just a sales pitch for a tourist. The room... more

We stayed in room 274. We came for my nephew's wedding, which was held on the grounds right in front of the ocean. I, and many of my family members, really liked the free classes. I learned alot about Hawaiian culture (the story telling class), and we were fortunate that Hawaiian steel guitar events coincided with our stay. I give... more

I have now stayed at KBH over the Christmas period for the last 4 years and hoping to make it for the fifth visit this year. It's not a flash hotel-but it's all about location and service. Here you have the plainest "home" on the best beach strip- let's face it-how much time do you spend in your room when... more

The view is great, the service is wonderful, and the activities are plentiful. The Lava Flows at the Tiki Bar are the best! If you want to go to Maui this is the hotel to stay at. Once you go there you will definitely want to go back. more

Our holiday at KBH was fantastic. We enjoyed the snorkeling, the restaurants, the Hawaiian activities, and the entertainment at KBH. The friendly staff make you feel at home. Service is very good. Our ground floor room in the Maui wing was large, clean, and decorated very nicely. Excellent Kona blend coffee was supplied for the coffee maker. The maids turned... more

This was our first visit to Maui, and we stayed at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel from June 10th to the 21st. One guest we spoke with said he has been to Maui 9 times and 6 of those times have been at KBH now as he won't go anywhere else. I can see why. Staff were very friendly and the... more

Stayed here as part of our honeymoon for 10 days. Good points - great location right on the beach, the bar staff at the tiki bar were great and the staff in general were more than willing to help out although we didn't have a huge amount of interaction with them. Pool good although slightly smaller and less exotic than... more

i have weird mixed feelings about giving this place a perfect rating. i think it was really wonderful because i didn't want room service, didn't care about amazing dining on property, was more interested in being up early for outdoorsy things rather than closing out a bar, and really didn't care if the service was a little wonky at times.... more
