Just returned from a 6-night stay at the Mauian with my wife and two young children (6 and 3), and we can't wait to go back. My mother stayed in another unit at the same time, and also loved it. During the same trip I stayed for 8 nights at Makena Surf near Wailea, which was absolutely fabulous and in... more

We spent 5 nights at the Mauian after spending 4 nights in a Wailea resort. Must say both hotels had pros but we did perfer the Mauian for the direct beach access. One caution, being respectful of quite hours at this hotel is a must! Because of the layout of the property sound travels. Our experience was that most people... more

The Mauian sits right on peaceful Napili Bay about five steps from the Napili Kai Resort. Its two-story accommodations are almost perpendicular to the ocean, giving many rooms some claim on an ocean view (at least from their balconies). We stayed in one of their premium rooms at the end, closest to the ocean. And it was very close to... more

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton for three nights and needed to stay elsewhere for two more nights. After perusing TA, we settled on the Mauian for some local flair. As most guests report, the outside is not impressive but check in was pleasant and the rooms are beautiful. The only topper for the room was the view. I must... more

This little hotel caught my eye, we wanted a nice place to sleep without going all out for one night - staying in Kihei we wanted to visit Napili and the Slack Key concert, so we made a complete outing of it. The Mauian may not knock your socks off outside, but it is wonderful. The studios have been remodeled... more

Just returned after 3 weeks in Hawaii - my annual Thanksgiving trip! With the help of Trip Advisor and all the helpful comments received a couple of years ago, my trip is always fun and enjoyable. This time we stayed in the Waikiki Banyan; a lovely condo with great view and amenities. This venue was found with the assistance of... more

When we pulled into the parking lot at the Mauian we were a little apprehensive. It was not very nice looking on the outside and the parking area was really small. We were happy when we had called about dropping our luggage off early and they told us we could check in early (at noon!) The front desk lady was... more

This is a great spot! We stayed at the Mauian just two nights--later in the week, while staying at a big "luxury" resort, we longed to be back. The Mauian reminded me of the wonderful old motels in the Florida Keys during the 1960s and 1970s, before the place went upscale, except the Mauian rooms are much nicer and more... more

As soon as I read there were no TVs or phones in the room, I knew the Mauian was the perfect place to celebrate our 30th anniversary. This was our first trip to Hawaii and we were not disappointed. The room was lovely and the beach perfect for frolicking. We will definitely return! more

I had a conference in Maui at the Westin. Since I was paying my own way, money was a big issue. A friend who lived on Molokai for 4 years recommended the Mauian. I had read the reviews and was a bit nervous, but decided to go for it. When my husband and I pulled into the parking lot, I... more
