Just got back from a 5 night stat at the Ho'oilo House - amazing place. Most memorable highlights: - Romantic setting - quiet, peaceful, tucked away. Can truly relax with incredible views. Can't think of a better place for a couple. - Outdoor shower - sweet! - House Design - very bright, open, airy. - Breakfast - Amy's freshly baked... more

Stayed at Ho'oilo House in the Nalu room for 3 days in November 2008. Our expectations were quite high after having read the reviews etc. The room met our expectations and more. It was an amazing experience staying there. It did feel like we were living in a high end mini resort. Amy and Dan were fantastic hosts. We did... more

We've stayed at the Ho'oilo House 3 times now and each visit is spectacular. The views from the house are amazing, the area is peaceful and relaxing, and Lahaina is a terrific city! We couldn't ask for a better place to stay on Maui. Dan is always very friendly and helpful. Restaurant recommendations are always perfect (our favorites include Pacific... more

My biggest concern was that this B&B would not be as wonderful as the pics suggested. The ocean views, mountain views, architecture, etc. It exceeded them. Its hillside location is perfect for ocean views and the large expansive hills behind with their picturesque weather moods provide a remarkable and beautiful contrast – all from one location. Architecture sets the mood... more

A good location to explore the island. The room and breakfest buffet was great. The atmosphere wasn't really familiar, quite anonymus for a B&B. more

My wife and I stayed in the Wailele suite in January 09. In short, this is probably the best B&B we've ever stayed in. It's hard to stay objective since it is Hawaii and the island itself makes you feel like you're in paradise, but I'll try to keep my comments to the point and be as objective as possible.... more

We stayed at the Ho’oilo House for five nights and enjoyed the property very much. Dan and Amy are great hosts and provide excellent accommodations, fresh breakfast, and travel advice. The Akala Manu room with its outdoor shower and large copper tub is wonderful. The location’s view is very nice, rooms and common areas are clean, very private and nicely... more

Hi, my wife and I stayed at the Ho'ilo House during our honeymoon during August of 2007. I must say that our stay was absolutely splendid. The decor in the rooms and the environment was the best I ever experienced in my life granted that this was my first time in Maui. Dan and Amy were great hosts. My wife... more

This was the first place we stayed upon our arrival from the mainland. We got there late at night, but there was a welcoming note on the door for us directing us to our rooms. We traveled with our 19 year old daughter so had booked two rooms. We couldn't decide which one to take, both were so lovely. The... more

My husband and I spent 5 nights at this beautiful place last week of December this year. We did have a great time and loved everything about the house. The Bali decor, spectacular views, very spacious rooms, breakfast, and particularly the outdoor shower in our room. There are 6 rooms and believe me, you don't even see other guests that... more
