Our family of two boys and two girls spent a week at the Sands of Kahana. Highly recommend #256 if you can get it. It is huge! 2700 sq feet counting the balconies. Its really two master suites. We loved it because of the size. Other amenities are typical. Has a restaurant, work out room, etc. Played golf at Kannapali... more

I stayed at SOK last week with my family and had a blast. We stayed in room #336, building 4. It was a 2 bedroom ocean view and we loved how our condo was situated and our view was pretty amazing. I think we spent half our vacation out on the lanai watching sunsets! We love the location because it's... more

My husband , two children (ages 7 and 9) and I stayed at SOK in February. Our friends own a timeshare there so they invited us to stay with them on Maui. They also have two children. We had a three bedroom/two bath condo with an ocean view. Our stay was amazing. I couldn't believe how much room there was... more

Our friends with timeshares on Maui and Kaui, considers the Sands of Kahana to be their favorite. We now know why. It is well planned, nicely furnished and maintained with spacious accommodations, one of the nicest beaches in the area and very friendly staff. Especially liked the outdoor dining areas and gas grills - even though the kitchens are full... more

You get what you pay for and this hotel is relatively inexpensive. The staff is horrible and the pools and grounds are horrible but we had a great room. Very large and clean. We are torn about staying here again- the rooms were great but nothing is in walking distance. SOK is actually in Kahana and Lahaina and the whalers... more

The condo we stayed in was extra roomy and accomodated a family of 6 nicely. The beach in front of the resort is amazing and wasn't crowded most of the time. The Sands of Kahaha restaraunt was excellent, with great happy hour specials everyday. The only problem, which was a huge problem for me, was the noise level. Of some... more

We really enjoyed the Sands of Kahana! We had a one bedroom, two bath condo. There was a TON of room - another couple could have easily shared our condo with us. I was hesitant to invite my sister and her husband to stay with us because I was not sure what the condo would be like, but it was... more

Don't expect a bellman to help with the luggage, there isn't one. Don't expect your suitcases to be safe if you arrive early, they put them in a "community room" that is open to the public. The units are huge however, the furnishings are dated, tired and old (like from the 70's!). Large lanai but couldn't use it due to... more

My husband and I stayed in an ocean view three bedroom condo with my family for one week. We had 5 adults and 3 children and it never felt crowded. I loved open layout of the condo. We could sit on the lanai and watch the whales. The beach is a nice swimming beach although watch out for sharp rocks.... more
