I was sent to Maui on a very short notice to help out upgrading a telephone switch for an HMO company. I have never been to the island and do not know where to stay. My company's website for accomodation listed only four locations. One of them was Wailuku Guesthouse. I did not know what to expect - accomodation wise.... more

Instead of the run-down room in a noisy, possibly unsafe neighborhood that we were expecting at this price, we got an immaculate, cozy, quiet place within walking distance of good restaurants. The backyard, secluded by fencing and tropical vegetation (with a pool, yet) makes a nice place to sit around in the evening and trade travel advice with the other... more

Welcoming, clean, lovely, quiet, convenient. Our bed was almost as comfortable as ours at home. We enjoyed having the 2 dogs around & would have liked to have seen more of them. We felt at home & relaxed. The pool was immaculate & we could use the BBQ for fish we got at the dock. There is even snorkeling equipment!!!... more

The Wailuku Guesthouse located in the very charming and historical town of Wailuku, Maui met our every need. My husband and I had just a few days in our vacation schedule to visit old friends scattered around the island and we needed the centralized location of Wailuku. We also needed some downtime and some gentle exercise and the pool setting... more

If looking for a cheap but excellent place to stay on Maui, we can highly recommend this. A suburban location, its central, but you will need a car to get around. However that is necessary where-ever you stay. Restaurants are within walking distance. The pool is an excellent feature. Host Maureen is very friendly, and gave us more fruit than... more

When we arrived on Maui, we had a reservation for Banana Bungalows in the same town. However, they didn't have the requested room and seemed too expensive for what they're offering. When we looked around, we found Wailuku Guesthouse and Maureen! We stayed in one of a few private apartments that are very well cared for: very comfy bed, complete... more

My wife and I stayed here in October 2008, and felt very welcome. Centrally located and the hosts are very knowledgeable. If you happen to be there when passionfruit is in season, the passionfruit martini's are the best! more

We recently stayed at the Wailuku Guesthouse in Wailuku, Maui. It is a good value for your money. It is centrally located so that whereever you would like to visit in Maui, it is not far. The host and hostess are friendly and helpful. We would recommend it. Tom and Vanna Buursma tbuursma@gmail.com more

If you are looking for clean, comfortable, friendly and inexpensive accomondation we strongly recommend Wailuku guest house. Both my husband and myself and our family have spent manny happy hours round the pool barbequing and swimming in the salt water pool. Owners Doug and Maureen Levin go out of their way to make you welcome and are very knowledgable about... more

The weather was not the usual 80's and sunny but the hospitality and comfort were top notch! We felt what I often hear about the true meaning of "Aloha". The inviting salt water pool, lush tropical plant life and gas BBQ grill were great comforts after a day of touring the island. Not to mention that the guesthouse is centrally... more
