I am guessing you take your chances getting a good unit. 229 is not a good one. When we made our reservation we stated that it appeared there was a difference in units and asked if we could be put in a nicer one. They said yes. They did not. I think this unit was used to film The Brady... more

Knowing how important Trip Advisor is to people looking for great accommodations at good prices I wanted to leave this review on our stay in Molokai, booked through Chad, as we were a guest in his luxury condo at The Molokai Shores #330. First of all I want to say how lovely this condo is. And how rare a find... more

If you need a place to stay in Molokai stay here! The owner did this condo up beautifully. The condo was lovely, the view was gorgeous and the pool was fantastic. We have fantastic memories of Molokai and of this condo. This condo is very convenient to the town, which is another good reason to stay here. Friendly's Grocery store... more

Chaya's condo at Molokai Shores is beautiful. There is a kitchen with all the tools needed to cook a great dinner. The bed is amazingly comfortable. There is a nice television with cable, but who has time to watch it with such beautiful ocean views off the lanai. The pool is nice because the ocean swimming at the condo is... more

C334 unit with great view. Could have slept 8 people but sheets were not provided for the hideabed downstairs. Two upstairs loft beds too hot to sleep at night. Interior older. Unit linens clean but floors not...kitchen floor sticky and all carpets disgustingly soiled. Killed 4 large roach like bugs; don't know if they flew in or crawled in. Dishwasher... more

We stayed in Unit A215 at Molokai Shores in April 2008. The unit was immaculate and very well equipped with anything that you may need. We booked directly with the owners which was a very pleasant experience. The unit was reasonably priced and located close to the main town which had small markets with most everything. Overall, our experience was... more

Let me preface this review by saying that friends of ours slept on the ground at the canoe club in Kaunakakai. After staying at the Marc Molokai Shores, that would have been a better option for us! A much less expensive one as well. My first clue should have been that my credit card was charged upon check-in. We hiked... more

We stayed at Molokai Shores. The project grounds are maintained well and the view of the ocean nice. The units vary based on owner's willingness to upgrade. Ours was satisfactory, unit 227, but nothing special at all. We happened to arrive when the pool was being drained and cleaned. Nothing, at all, happens here. No swimming beach, no food, nothing... more

On the outside, Molokai Shores was beautifully maintained. We only wish the inside matched. The first unit was uninhabitable -- broken furniture, torn curtains, dirty. The second was somewhat better but there was a huge flying insect, dead ants on a light fixture, and a very stained carpet and uncomfortable sofa bed. Both rooms were noisy -- noise from the... more

Molokai Shores is not for the picky or faint of heart. The interior is old, has not been updated in decades, the fixtures are old, and it's not all that clean. However, as a home base in Molokai, it's fine. Molokai isn't known for service or ambiance, and the Molokai Shores is a good reflection of the island--rough around the... more
