Conveniently located in Bar Harbor, the cottages are cozy, neat and comfortable. The kitchenette is a savior in case of emergencies like reheating food, refrigerating, etc. We kind of loved the cute little bathroom. It is a perfect stay after a long day at the Acadia National Park. I have had an additional good experience with them. Forgot two books... More

We rented a small single cottage with one queen size bed. I have to say that earlier reviewers were accurate about the tiny bathroom and kitchenette but we loved it. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was very quiet by about 9:00. After a full day at Acadia hiking or a day in Bar Harbor shopping and going out... More

We just came back from our third vacation in Bar Harbor. We have stayed at Bay Meadows Cottages twice and we were very happy there. We stayed in a quaint cottage. Low tide was a nice time to hike along the rocky beach. The people are friendly and helpful. We will stay there again.

This is our second year in a row to rent the Ranch house at Bay Meadow. We have been coming to Bar Harbor for several years staying at another set of cottages on Route 3. I got tired of lugging my portable microwave every year plus the a/c didn't work so well so we decided to upgrade. We like to... More

A friend and I were fortunate to be able to reserve one of the cabins at Bay Meadow at the very last minute this past week. I was very pleased with everything about our short stay. The cabin was exactly what I wanted and expected: reminded me of places I stayed as a kid with my parents back in the... More

Spent 4 nights here in July. I stayed here w one other adult. And booked it based on location & the cost of $115/night. Pros: beds were comfy, water pressure was great, staff is terrific & friendly, cute location. Cons: shower was so small it was almost unusable. it was not more than 2'x2'. bumped my elbows just trying to... More

I stayed here with a friend for two nights. We chose this place based on location, and more importantly, price ($115/nt). When we got there, we were a little surprised at the size of the place - we knew that it'll be small, but we couldn't have imagined that it'll be THIS small. I know closets that are bigger than the... More

We stayed her for 4 nites & have no complaints. It was small but we had enough room for 2 people. The owner could not be any nicer. It was quite and 5 min. from Bar Harbor. We did not have any smells in the house. We were glad we didn't stay in town because the cruise ships bring a lot... More

Please read all of the POOR reviews because they are correct. The picture is very decieving!! The "Cottages" are very small, old, poorly supplied and i would not call a sink+toaster a kitchenette... The bathroom was approx 6' x 5' and the shower was a dirty little plastic cube. Also, we tried to cancel because of Huricane Irene but they... More

Is it small? Yes, but clean and tidy. The cottages were built in the 1930's and not meant to be luxury hotels. Think lake cottage, but with plumbing. The kitchenette was small, but quite serviceable, thus the term "kitchenette." There was a high shelf to store non-perishables, a small dorm-style refrigerator, a sink, and a two burner hot plate. Silverware... More
