Graycote Inn is a perfect place to experience a beautiful part of our country. Roger and Pat give attention to details. The rooms are comfortable and well-kept and the breakfasts are varied, carefully prepared and wonderful. They provide lots of tips and suggestions for activities rain or shine. This was our second time at Graycote Inn. Our grown children, who... more

After sifting through the many B&B's available in Bar Harbor, I came across The Graycote Inn. We chose the St. Sauveur Room with the wood-burning fireplace. The room itself was cozy with a very comfortable bed and ensuite bath. It was certainly very clean. The location of the Graycote is excellent as it is not on a main street, yet... more

we spent 4 days in this hotel, the room we had reserved was the most small (choice) clean, bright, a little too hot. Perfect location for trips in the area, the town center is within walking distance. No lift. The owners are people willing and kind. Living for almost a week without phone, television and mobile phone (3G mobile phones... more

While it wasn't terrible, this is the worst B&B at which we have ever stayed (to include a run down, creepy, haunted inn in Mass.) We too, were subjected to a nearly 40 minute diatribe when we first arrived. We were lectured on which restaurants to eat at, which to avoid, which served lamb, which didn't serve lamb. We don't... more

My husband and I travel frequently with another couple who also enjoy exploring new places in neighboring states. We picked the Graycote Inn Bed and Breakfast because they have 2 bedroom suites available that share a bathroom and living room. It was perfect for us and cost less than getting two separate rooms. The breakfasts that were served every morning... more

Graycote Inn is a lovely B&B; very well situated on a quiet tree-lined street in Bar Harbor within walking distance of the harbor and most shops and restaurants, and 10 minutes' drive to Acadia National Park. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished; breakfast was different every day and delicious; coffee was available throughout the day and from... more

A very nice B&B we stayed for 4 nites. Elegant layout and the best B&B breakfasts I have had. Real care and imagination in the menu. Close enough to downtown for a walk in to all main reasons to be in town. Stayed in third floor room with french doors to tiny balcony, great for fresh air. Seriously non smoking.... more

My wife and I just returned from a week at the Graycote Inn. Pat and Roger Samuel were excellent hosts, providing everything from good advice on activities and dining to a great breakfast each morning, and a warm and welcoming experience. The Inn itself was well appointed, and served as a good home base for activities. It was an easy... more
