Very close to Union square where you can catch the hop on hop off bus to explore the city. Don't forget your warm jacket if you want to enjoy the view from the open bus top... Booked it because on our last night in the states wanted something very central near cable cars shops etc, and it was. It also offered valet parking which appealed at $40 plus taxes.
