Beautiful and historic hotel in the middle of downtown. Only a few blocks away from Chinatown and good shopping and very close to BART. The room was nicely furnished, although a little small. This has to be some of the worst customer service around. The employees are on strike and have incessentally pounding drums the whole time and all the management will offer are ear plugs. The rooms are not cleaned properly, you get harrased going in and out of the hotel. more

This is a very beautiful classic hotel that has been around for a very long time. They have done a great job of keeping up the hotel. However, because it is so old, the rooms are very small. The gym could also use some upgrading. We really enjoyed our stay and thought that the staff was very attentive. more

The room was spacious and clean , but a bit noisy. The hotel is older and needs new windows. The location is very convenient. The front desk messed up our reservation several times and our bill wrong. We were overchanger by over $400. They did credit back the error amount. more
