Our son was graduating from SFSU and we chose the Ocean Park as it is about 3 miles to his place and less than that to campus. Lovely grounds and cozy rooms made this a great choice for our SF visit. The muni to downtown goes right by, so you can hop on and be downtown in about 20 minutes.... more

The Ocean Park has plenty of charm. We stayed for two nights initially and then another night after our trip to Yosemite. The suburban location near San Francisco Zoo (and the beach) was a good alternative to staying in the CBD.
