Ignore the moany reviews of this hostel. The rooms were clean and spacious, there was free internet and breakfast, friendly staff, plus all-night local buses down Mission St. The only problem was no kitchen, only a microwave and fridge, and some windows had no blinds. The club on Fri/Sat nights is loud until 1.30am, so stay out or bring earplugs. more

This hostel looks pretty amazing on the website, and on the surface it does deliver, however, after a short time it disappoints. There are no real facilites to prepare or store you're own food - we were vaguely informed of somewhere where there was a microwave, but never found it! The on site dining (with additional seating on the rooftop... more

There are many reasons not to stay here, the main one for me was the incredibly unhelpful staff who were just damn right rude at times. They refused to book a shuttle for me, even though they offered the service and their breakfast is a muffin and tea or coffee but they don't replace the mugs so once they're gone... more

This was a good hostel in a fun area of the city. It's cheap but you get very good value for money - free internet, sheets and towels, a cleaner daily, and free pastry and coffee at breakfast. There is also a cool roof terrace bar with a good wine and cocktail lists but a rubbish beer selection consisting of... more

We stayed there during the week, so it wasn´t noisy. The private rooms are only a bed and a chair, and nothing else, but it is clean. Breakfeast is nothing, only a bagel and bad coffee. Not as much hostel life, as we were hoping for. Free internet in common areas. The staff is not friendly, so don´t expect to... more

I arrived at 2:30 a.m., and checked-in with no problem. The room and bathroom were fine. You can walk 3 blocks to the BART, which gets you to and from the airport cheaply, and you can walk up to the central business district in 1/2(?) hour. more

Please, do not ruin your trip to San Francisco by staying at this awful hostel. The photos and description of the rooms on their website may have once been accurate, but they are not now. The rooms do not have the amenities described on their website. The rooms do not look like the photos on their website either. The staff... more

The place itself was fine, the area actually ok if you don't mind a few dodgy characters BUT the service was the worst that I have EVER experienced. Not only did the staff make us feel like they were doing us a favour to let us stay there, when I asked to see the manager to make a complaint I... more

I reserved a double room consisting of a queen size bed for 2 nights. When I arrived, I was given a room consisting of twin bunk beds. I was not told about the change to my room and only found out when I went to the room. Also, the room had a broken television, broken telephone, a tampered with smoke... more
