A friend and I stayed at the St. Regis for a long weekend in November 2009. The hotel was chosen by my excellent travel agent and she couldn't have done better. Every single person at the hotel, from the bell staff to the spa staff to the room service staff, was smiling, classy, helpful, fun, and just awesome. We each... more

I travel a lot for work and have stayed at many hotels. St. Regis overall is a fantastic brand but the St. Regis in San Francisco is by far my favorite. The lobby is small but inviting and the rooms are stunning. I highly recommend the hotel for business or leisure stays. The location is also quite convenient. My favorite... more

We had first booked a night at the Palace. We had stayed at the palace seven years ago and remembered it being nice. Once we arrived we realized that they had not changed or cleaned a thing in the past seven years. So we moved to the St Regis. And although it costs a lot more, you get what you... more

Rooms were clean, quiet, and had all the immenities needed to relax. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly, but not intrusive. Had breakfast delivered to the room and it was wonderful. It's a little on the expensive side, but I can't say that it wasn't worth it. more

I am known by family and friends as a very persnickety traveller. I can complain about having nothing to complain about. I usually stay in upper upscale hotels, and have high expectations for service and value. I had free weekend nights to burn and no time to head out of town, so I spent the weekend at the St. Regis.... more

very average for 5* hotel, and for price of room - fairly new hotel - decor felt far more like a W than a St Regis, and not in a good way - check in fine, though a little slow - only 2 check-in desks, wouldn't like to see it when its busy (which it was, we were just lucky... more

The St. Regis San Francisco was beautiful hotel that provided top notch service throughout the stay. The hotel is hidden away right off 3rd street and can easily be missed by its subtle sign and entrance. Entering the lobby takes you away from the city into a calm and soothing environment. Check in went smoothly and we were assigned a... more

Very "special" feeling for close to $500.00 USD, per night. SPG a GREAT program..... NOT the St. Regis Lobby: Gas fireplace, smell overwhelming. Check in; NO Platinum amenity. NO information on city sights and sounds No SPG Platinum amenity Platinum guests discouraged! No late check out for Platinum members. Had to change plans because of that. EXTRA charge for newspaper... more

The St Regis is my favourite hotel in San Francisco. The Rooms where 100% perfect and spotless. The staff were exceptionally helpful providing great information on car rental and restaurants. As we were attending a conference in the local conventions centre, this hotel was well placed for the 4 minute walk to the centre. more
