The location was convenient, and our room on the 5th floor was clean and quiet, though a bit small. The free wifi was great. There's only complimentary coffee and tea, no breakfast. Unfortunately, the water temperature in the shower/tub was hard to control, and a few times the water was too hot. The hotel parking was $21 per day, no... more

This is a pretty average hotel. The location is good, not too far from the Rapid Transit (BART) system, which is around 10-15 minutes on foot, and there are plenty of buses going up and down Van Ness Street, which is the next block. There is even a bus (number 19) going up and down Polk Street, right next to... more

We selected this hotel because of it's price and the great pictures on it's web site. Little did we know. My wife's brother and sister-in-law dropped us off the embarrassment started as soon as we parked up out front! 2 drunks were fighting. Just walking in was a prelude to things to come. It stunk! The elevator was interesting. Once... more

Stayed for a week on vacation in SFO. Room was reasonably priced for the city. Overall room was clean though I did ignore the burn holes in the bed covers and blankets. It was difficult to get the room cleaned up on a number of occasions when I needed this done. Wifi only worked in reception and not in the... more

I laughed at some of the reviews of this hotel. I sort of wonder what people expect when they try to pennypinch and get rock bottom prices in big cities. I mean, come on. Also, in this day and age, it's pretty easy to get good info about the area you're staying in. Google street view it, people! I lived... more

The Hotel is well placed but a bit too near the 'sex' industry for my liking! We were right opposite an adult film theatre and it did nto feel too safe when it got dark either. The staff were friendly but my room faced an inner courtyard and I got no natural light and it was really noisy. The Hotel... more

This truly was the worst hotel I have stayed in throughout my many years of travelling. The hotel itself had quite a nice lobby but the rooms were small and smelled really bad. Broken lamps, broken bulbs, broken locks, broken shower.....the list goes on. Whilst this was bad, the area was much worse, the other reviewers are truly not exagerrating... more

Very nice hotel with every thing needed when you just want the hotel to be a place to sleep. The wireless internet is a huge plus. The porn stores arround the hotel is nothing compared to other cities and the number of homeless is just above average. It takes 15 min to walk to union square so the location is... more

Make no mistake this hotel is older and is a budget hotel. Once you get over those two facts its an excellent hotel for those with realistic expectations. The rooms are clean and functional with free wireless internet. Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf are both a quick bus ride away with a MUNI stop right on the corner. Yes, there... more
