For the price (under $400 with priceline.com deal) of hotel (3 nights) and airfare (roundtrip from LAX), I wasn't expecting too much. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and upgraded the Hotel Carlton was. The staff was very cordial and accomodating. We really enjoyed this hotel. It is not in the middle of the tourist area, but we prefer it that way. We had free parking which helped tremendously on the price. Loved the wine tasting. Comfortable rooms (we had two). Older hotel but quaint not shabby. Hotel staff was good. more
