Great hotel staff! But the hotel does need a facelift. The bathroom is outdated and the carpet is old. If you drive, the over night self parking is $32 or $80 for valid parking. I will stay somewhere else next time. more

Stayed here for one week in February and enjoyed my stay immensely although it is somewhat on the pricey side. The location is prime. I enjoy walking so this place was perfect for me as I was able to see a fabulous part of the city on foot. Their fitness center is also top notch. The service was also excellent.... more
We recently spent 5 nights at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the city centre and use public transport. We arrived by Amtrak, on their shuttle bus from Emeryville which dropped us at the Ferry Building. We headed over the road, luggage in tow, but had difficulty finding the entrance... more
This hotel is impressive looking on the outside and on the inside with a.lovely modern reception area and lobby which is reminicent of the burj al arab in dubai! The hotel rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom area was very spacious and clean - we also had a view of the bay from our... more
Being from the bay area, it’s fun to play tourist in our backyard. The Hyatt Regency is right along the water at the Embarcadero and its location can't be beat. Upon check-in, it's customary for us to ask for the best room possible. Boy, did we get lucky. Our room was surprisingly very spacious with a gorgeous view of the... more
Large spacious comfortable rooms, elegant public space/lobby, spectacular design, great views of the Bay, courteous staff. Walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and other attractions. Everything one would expect from a Hyatt and more. Highly recommended. more
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency for business and found this hotel very comfortable. It was quiet and clean. I have to agree that it is probably time for some freshing up but overall a nice hotel. It is convenient to public transportation (the California Cable Car turnaround and BART is right outside the door.) They have a good... more
This hotel, although well located near Union Square, is in dire need of a facelift in the common areas as well as the rooms. Tired decor. Amenities are weak, especially for a diamond member. more
I needed a hotel for a few days to relax and explore San Fransisco. I had no particular agenda in mind. I found the Hyatt Regency to be very well located. The rooms had a wonderful sit-out overlooking the piers and the water - stunning views! Rooms were well appointed and very comfortable, and the hotel offered fairly good food... more
My husband and I went to SF for a quick getaway weekend. We stayed at the hyatt because we had free nights there. The hotel location is great because it is right next to the Embarcadero building, downtown, and walking distance to North Beach, Chinatown, Soma, and Union Square. There are a lot of bus routes/bart in the vicinity to... more
