Great location near lots of good restaurants. Although I was only in SFO a day for 24 hours on a business trip, the hotel was 1-2 blocks from everywhere I needed to go. I was able to get a bit of sightseeing in. Rooms were great. The bed was very comfortable and I slept better than at home. more

i have never slept in a more comfortable bed. i was asleep before i got the covers over me. The free breakfast was better than many breakfast buffets that i have paid for. more

It couldn't have been a better location if you like a little more touristy area, which we do. After all, we ARE tourists! We love walking, so we very seldom had to use the car, except to go to Golden Gate Park and the Painted Ladies Victorian houses. It was a wonderful experience in a beautiful hotel. Roooms: newly remodeled, comfortable beds, LCD TV, nice decor. Close to cable cars, and bus line in front of hotel. If you can get a good rate, this hotel is certainly worth staying in. But, having said that, the other Marriott hotels in the city are nicer. I found it odd that the main hotel restaurant was closed at dinner.... more
