My wife and I stayed a couple nights to catch Wicked and do some sightseeing. The show was great, the stay was a bit scary. The streets around the hotel are packed with homeless and the police are poorly staffed to manage them all. We decided to grab a bit close to the hotel and then walk to the show.... more

Great location, clean rooms etc but just lacking a bit of class and thought. First example is when you check in. Total bedlam if it is busy. Never enough check-in staff and because there is no roped line people just jostle for position and hope that no one tries to jump the (non-existent) queue. I'm sure it turns ugly there... more

I read that this hotel was given a complete remodeling in the summer of '09, so I was looking forward to brand new fancy rooms. I was disappointed- the rooms weren't fancy, but they were comfortable, which is what is most important anyway. But I could still tell the building is quite old. We paid 200 euro for a deluxe king room, this was two thirds of the actual price, as we got it for a reduced rate.
