I stayed at the Prescott Hotel last weekend with my sister and niece, and was not impressed with the hotel. The rooms were dark and small and the carpet was dirty. The view was awful as it looked out into the windows of the next door building. I was staying in a king suite with a pull out sofa, as... more

Dear gerri-7, I was dissappointed to read that we did not meet your expectations or make a favorable impression. While reviewers have made comments about the size of our deluxe rooms, very few have mentioned that the suites are small. While I appreciate your feedback on some on the physical characteristics (no views, phone didn't work) I don't feel your...

This hotel is in a fabulous location with very helpful staff and great rooms. Got it on Priceline for $88 incl tax/fees (bid $70), which makes it a great value. We upgraded to the club level/two beds for extra $25 at check-in. High quality bed linens too. Keep in mind that this hotel is not really at a 4* quality,... more

This hotel would really be a 3 star not a 4. I've noticed if you are shopping around for hotels in San Francisco, whatever the rating states, go 1 star lower. The location is ideal, you are right downtown by union square. The room is decent but tiny, nothing fancy, no flat screen tv. The bathroom is suboptimal and cramped... more

My husband and I just stayed at the The Prescott last month for two nights. The location was the best part, being right around the corner from Union Square. When we checked in and went to our room, we couldn't leave when we wanted because our in room safe wouldn't work. We had to wait for someone to re-program it,... more

Have stayed at the Prescott on several occasions while on business in SF. Usually get great rates for 4-star on Priceline and Prescott is a top choice. First off, the hotel is tucked away with a very unassuming front right off of Union Square. You have to look for it hard or you might miss it. It is a boutique... more

The Prescott used to be one of my favorite hotels in San Francisco, impeccable rooms, impeccable service. That makes it even sader to see what it has turned into. Rooms badly need an upgrade, bad enough that they are teensy, but now they are shabby too. Stayed in the "other" building, walls so thin I could literally hear people going... more

Great location, downtown SFO. Walking distance from China town. Economical parking is an issue. Good cocktail hour. more

Great Location, just off Union Square. Rooms are small, but clean and quiet. Loved the club level breakfast and cocktail hour. Tip-even after you book, keep checking back for prices to decrease hotel site. Each time I saw a deceased, I called and they honored the lower price. They group I traveled with was very happy! This was may second... more

I stayed here in June of 2008 and the customer service was awesome, bed was comfy and the location can't be beat in terms of walking to shopping, museums, etc. The room was a bit small but given the prime location it is understandable that a builder would want to create as many possible rooms while still maintaining comfort. I... more
