You can easily get misled by the external appearance. This hotel was however a great find. Very helpful and accommodating staff, excellent service (including evening wine and snacks), clean, spacious and very cozy rooms, very comfortable bed and great location (just steps from Union Square). Best parts: free wine, cheese and hors d'oeuvres from 5:30-7 in the evening, free breakfast, free internet, right at Union Square. The room was cozy, clean, nicely decorated, and quiet. Nice queen size bed (we got the least expensive room). Front desk staff very helpful. The parking garage for the hotel is on Mason, less than a block away. more
