We had the Harper's Ferry room for two very enjoyable days at this fine B&B. The Innkeepers were great, and Joanne was a marvelous cook...the gourmet breakfasts each morning were incredible! Inn was very clean and well-appointed. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, restful stay. More

This past weekend, my wife and I stayed at the Jacob Rohrbach Inn for the second time, this time for my wife's birthday. We had the General's Quarters, and, just like our first visit, everything was perfect. The room is immaculately clean (there isn't even a leaf or a cobweb on the porch), beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Joanne and... More

My wife and I spent our 2 year anniversary at the Jacob Rohrbach Inn. We had to arrive late, after 9pm, but Paul was there to great us. Joann cooks a delicious breakfast every day. The pumpkin roll was the best. Joann and Pau go out of their way to make us feel welcome. They printed up for us on... More

My husband and I stayed overnight in the Clara Barton room while on our bike trip from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. JoAnn was very welcoming and let us use her hose to wash off our bike which she later locked in the garage. The towm of Sharpsburg wasvery quaint and we wished we had more time to explore it. Our... We stayed at the Jacob Rohrbach Inn while bicycling on the C&O Canal trail. Joanne and Paul were wonderful hosts and made us feel quite at home. This is a bicycle-friendly place, and they helped us hose down our muddy bikes and store them in a locked garage. We were embarrassed about how muddy our panniers were, but they gave... More

On arrival, we received a gracious and warm welcome from Joanne not as paying guests, but like friends. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated/furnished, with all the amenities one gets in a large hotel. The bed was comfortable. There was even a refrigerator on the patio with cold water, which was welcome after a long drive.Joanne even volunteered to make... More

Stayed at the Jacob Rohrbach Inn during a weekend getaway to Harpers Ferry and Antietam. Weather did not cooperate very much but the JRI was as good as advertised. Everything is clean and very well run. Joann and Paul are very nice and breakfast was very good...coffee, juices, breads and, on that day, a cheese quiche. the only complain my... More

The service is exceptional--the innkeepers go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and well-fed! They are very knowledgeable concerning the local history and esp. the history surrounding the famous civil war battle that was fought nearby. The rooms are beautifully appointed and ours had a lovely view from the outside porch/balcony. The food is fantastic--prepared from... More

We have stayed at this wonderful Inn many times and have NEVER been disappointed with one aspect of the accomodations and/or friendly atmosphere awarded their guests. The beautiful surroundings and quiet peaceful atmosphere allowed us to relax and appreciate a slower pace in an otherwise hectic schedule. Joanne and Paul are the most gracious of hosts and I look forward... More

Staying here was a highlight of our trip. The rooms were terrific, the breakfast was out of this world, and the owners (Joanne and Paul) are great. We felt like we were staying with friends. More
