The Pinehurst Inn is nestled in Bayfield so you are close to all the activities you could imagine. Very pleasant house, rooms comfortable and nicely decorated, but not in that over-Victorian way of some B&Bs. Breakfast tasty, using local ingredients. We loved our trip to Bayfield. I have to say that staying in the Catherine Rittenhouse suite was a challenge. There is no "shower" although a handset is provided in the tub which is very spacious. My husband and I drove about 16 hours from Memphis to visit Bayfield and the Apostle Islands. We chose the Pinehurst based on its website. Normally, I choose hotels based on tripadvisor reviews; however, since there were only a few for this one, I decided to go on and check it out. I cannot say enough about this wonderful inn.... more
