Desert Gardens Cottages consist of a duplex and stand-alone unit on the same lot. They're located two blocks from Main Street and about two feet behind an old cement block storage building. The units themselves are old and constructed partially of concrete blocks. Moab Lodging will tell you they are air conditioned, but don't believe it. The unit we were in, which was the stand-alone unit, was cooled by an old evaporation system that was very ineffective. They tell you to turn the unit on, close off any rooms you're not using,and open a window in the rooms you want cooled. Never mind that it's 104 degrees out there! The furnishings were adequate. There was a small sitting room with a sofa and loveseat and small TV. There was a dining area and small kitchen. The bathroom was small but newer.
