The Lazy Lizard is a lifesaver. As a hostel, it's no frills. But paying $30 or so for a private room for the night is amazing in Moab, plus there is a shower, restroom and wi-fi in the office. And a kitchen and oven. The bed and sheets seemed clean enough. The walls are paper thin and a little noisy,... more

National parks shouldn't be accessible only to the wealthy, which is why it's nice that there's an option to stay in Moab for half the price (or less) of other hotels. However, given the choice, I cannot say I would stay at the Lazy Lizard again. All I really need when I'm visiting a national park is a shower and... more

...the owners just don't care and just seem to milk it without reinvesting at least a little bit. I stayed in a cabin which was basic but perfectly fine. The big factor, however, that made me give this hostel a bad rating is the fact that the shared restrooms were not cleaned once during my stay. I arrived Friday night,... more

Staying at the Lizard totally changed my trip plans. I met so many travelers there who had plans to see so much stuff that there was no way I could only stay three days as originally planned. Luckily the lizard is actually cheaper than most camp sites so I could also afford to stay and do stuff. It was just... more

We stayed in one of the bunk rooms and for $10/ night, there is no better deal. It is definitely not a luxury establishment, but if you're just looking for a bed and shower, this is worth the money. It would have cost more for a camp site and we would have to provide all the equipment. more

We've stayed at the Lazy Lizard often, for many years now. If you want a condo or motel room, then for goodness sake, go get one. This is an international type hostel. The kitchen is clean, I have no idea what the people see when they are talking about bugs and garbage and such. It is way better than many... more

Great place to stay! The cabins are clean and comfy. The kitchen in well taken care of, with 4 refrigerator freezers for guests to use. The showers have magically endless hot water. I promise you, you can't camp for the money we laid down for the cabin. The folks around us were friendly and respectful of personal space. We all... more

We stayed in a cabin and have no complaints! This is a great experience for folks who enjoy meeting other travelers. and can handle a short walk to the bathroom/showers and kitchen area. Laid back atmosphere. When I return(and I will!), I'll pack a few hooks to donate to the cabin. It wouldn't hurt for travelers(to anywhere!) to pack a... more

I found this place to be very relaxed, laid back and friendly. There were coffee donations, and free food donations for those of us that are too lazy to run to the grocery store. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind, but it is definitely not for snooty girls who need a five star hotel. more
