Stayed here in late August with wife and 2 kids, 9 & 11. Cabins were small but we were okay for 1 night. Cabin could have been cleaner, but it was a cabin; not a hotel room. Locations was great! A million stars at night and easy to get out for a ranger talk in the morning. Sure, you could... more

Okay, you don't stay here for the motel. It's a place to sleep! so it was clean, the bed i had seemed pretty new and very comfy. down side was i couldn't open the windows because the screens did not fit the windows well at all, and i would have had visitors! so i had to resort to the air... more

I'd be lying if I said this is a top notch place. It's not. But it is beautiful location and the only motel inside the park itself, so it was worth it. We had a 2 bdrm unit for $105 (shared wall with another unit). One bedroom had two double beds and the other had a queen - perfect for... more

We have stayed here before and it was a no-brainer to select Cedar Pass Lodge again because of the amazing location in Badlands National Park. Unfortunately, the cabins are showing wear and tear and I guess it depends on what travelers are willing to live with for the chance to look out windows at the sun setting on moon-scaped land.... more

It was like being in a 30's movie as our old jalopy pulled into the tourist court. It wasn't the worst place we stayed in this trip, but our kids voted it that way. The location is great and there really isn't much choice here but it takes the term rustic a little too far. Ok maybe I'd have liked... more

We stayed one night and expected a basic accommodation with nice amenities in superb surroundings. Nothing wrong with the surroundings. Staff was OK, especially the restaurant staff. The management should give them a raise in pay for their hard work and friendly service. The cabins have known better days though. Imagine a nice cabin which has been restored many times... more

We stayed in one of the 1950's-era cabins behind the lodge. The cabin we were in was clean and, for the most past, well-maintained. The mattress of the bed had seen better days however and sagged on one side. As expected, these were basic accommodations. 2 beds, a desk, air conditioning, and a shower. No telephone, no TV. But the... more

stayed here one night in july and enjoyed the experience, the cabin was much nicer on the inside than you would expect but it would be nice if they painted the peeling outside door and screen. couldn't beat the location and it was so peaceful overnight. air conditioner worked fine ,beds were comfortable. the cedar pass lodge personnel were all... more

Our family of 6 (two kids under 7 and two over 13) really enjoyed our time at Cedar Pass Lodge. The rooms were clean and nice. A bit on the worn side but acceptable. Proximity to the visitor center and campground amphitheater was great. Badlands is a 100% accessible National Park so you can hike anywhere, even off trail. It... more

Great location in a wonderful National Park. Wildlife outside the cabin was superb. Rabbits, deer and many interesting birds. Very clean and comfortable, and most helpful staff. more
