We were traveling to Beaumont, TX for my son's national baseball tournament. Made reservations at least a month in advance at the Value Place and secured with credit card. Friday night before we were to travel to Beaumont, I received a call from another family who had reservations at the hotel, and they informed me that they had received a call from the hotel stating that they had overbooked and that a room would not be available. Obviously they were furious. I called the hotel and confirmed that there were no rooms available because of A/C and plumbing problems. They told me that they would put me up at another hotel at their cost until a room came available on Monday. I specifically asked if this was going to be the same type of room I reserved because I was traveling with my family. I was assured it would be.
