This was my second visit to this B&B. If you like history and old southern mansions, this is the place. The owners saved this house from ruin and put a lot of heart and their lives into it. The house itself was nice and took you back to older times. We were unfortunate to stay in the 'little girls' room, which was said to be haunted. The Old Reynolds Mansion is a great little bed & breakfast! It sits on a quiet hilltop just outside of Asheville, NC. The staff was very warm and friendly. Our room was cozy and quiet. It was very peacful and we will be returning at some point. Give it a try for yourself! more

The house has a resident cat that is permitted to roam the property, but apparently isn't treated regularly for fleas. During our stay, we woke each morning with several flea bites. The Old Reynold's Mansion, Asheville, NC, is not, as advertised, the peaceful retreat with glorious mountain views. Not only is Interstate 40 quite audible 24 hours per day, the nearest hillside has been demolished, taking with it the primary view. Deafening earthmovers, beeping and operating at decible levels well above the comfort level spew clouds of dust into the air... more
