-Great location, one block from Boston Public Garden, great restaurants a just short walk away. -An old hotel (originally built in the 1920's?) but nicely renovated. -Room was interesting in that two very small rooms were combined into one larger room, which is fine, but there are still 2 very small bathrooms in the room (with barely enough room for... more

I attended a conference at this hotel and was offered a conference rate of $189 for a queen bed room. My colleagues did stay here and I saw one of their rooms. The room, like the rest of the hotel, was quite dated, musty, and dingy. Although this is a "historic hotel of America," it needs to be revamped and... more

This hotel has slid downhill. The room had smoke detectors that would make noise periodically even though the batteries were not low. There were bare wood doors hanging on the closets. Management refused to return 5 separate contact attempts to resolve an issue. Service has never been this bad in the past, but it appears that all good things must... more

I was pretty worried what my conference was going to be like. Some of the reviews across the internet expressed pretty negative opinions about the Boston Park Plaza. This place is great for conferences. The facilities are more than adequate. The staff gets the job done without being obtrusive. The location allows many options for meals and other outings. There... more

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. It was insulting to be charged so much for so little. The door to my room did not lock properly. The room was old and worn. There were two tiny bathrooms with old, leaky plumbing and a tv from the 1980s. I asked the conceirges about restrauants and... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for just one night on our way up to a vacation in Maine. I booked through Expedia and got a rate that was much cheaper than what was advertised on the hotel website. Unfortunately, even for about $100 off the regular room rate, I still feel like I got ripped off. First... more

I chose the hotel based on business meeting location. Internet connection in the room was wired and hotel didn't have long wires to allow me to move the computer away from the desk. The connection was also shaky even when using the provided wired. Helpdesk didn't solve the problem. more

Let’s start with the good: 1) Location, location, location. Very close to wonderful Boston Commons and wonderful Boston shopping (Newbury St.). 2) The Hotel Bar (Whiskey Park). My husband was very excited that they served absinthe (but not very excited about the $13 price tag). Now, the (much longer) bad: 1) The bell hops didn’t take our suitcase out of... more

I agree with the others that the staff is very rude. I had a bigger problem. When we got home lokking at my credit card bill i realized they had over charged me by $156.00. I called and everyone gave me the run around. I left messages on4 different people's voice mail and no one has called me back in... more
