The Copley is an historic property that is undergoing major renovations. I am sure it will be a very good property when finished, but for the moment I rank as average. My room was great. Save your money and stay somewhere smaller, friendlier, and less cold and corporate. Yes the public rooms are something to behold with Sistine Capel style painted ceilings, but the staff at all levels are indifferent and unhelpful. Stayed here in January 2012. Trash on the room floor, bedside light didn't work, thermostat broken, fire drill at 11PM and no apology from manager to whom I complained the next morning after a sleepless night. This hotel is turning into a dump, and no one in authority cares. More

This grand old lady has a great deal of charm, but badly needs a large dollop of TLC. The hotel has an elegant old world facade and nice classical internal decor.
