My husband and I enjoyed our four nights at this historic Beacon Hill townhouse. The location is very convenient; close to the Boston Common and within walking distance of two subway stops. We stayed in the elegant Henry James room. The décor was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. The lighting in the room... more

Our experience at the inn was wonderful and the staff was so hospitable and accommodating. I loved the fresh flowers, fresh fruit and the stocking of the mini-refrigerator in the room of water, juice, and soft drinks. The location of the inn was perfect, close to the Metro, close to the esplanade at Charles River where my husband would jog... more

We stayed for 6 nights at the Charles Street Inn in Boston. The inn is situated on Beacon hill, a very central and pleasant area of the city with short distance to shopping, sight-seeing, night life and resaurants. The staff were exceptionally helpful in organising our various requirements ranging from rental cars to Redsox tickets. Rooms and included breaksfast were... more

The innkeeers attention to detail in all aspects of this charming inn is evident from the moment one steps inside. The restoration of this 1860 Victorian townhouse was achieved with attention to historic preservation simultaneously including modern conveniences and comforts. The innkeepers Sally and Louise always make us feel so welcome and yet provide us with our privacy. Breakfasts are... more

We were looking for something that wasn't typical hotel accomodation and the Charles St Inn fit the bill. Our three night stay was very relaxing. We loved the deep tub and the working fireplace. It had a charm all its own. We also appreciated the extra touches like the fresh flowers in the room, bvlgari toiletries and voice over ip... more

All of the things an inn should be: attractive, cozy, charming, helpful staff, clean. Near enough to the sites ie. Public Garden and shopping, yet you can have a nice walk through lovely residential areas as well. more

My husband and I were looking forward to staying at the Charles Street Inn for Memorial Weekend. However, when I called to inquire about making dinner reservations I was informed they made a mistake and the room we booked back in March was made for the weekend following Memorial Weekend. I partly blame myself because I did in fact receive... more

On one of the coolest streets in the Back Bay is this private, quiet little gem. Each of the nine rooms has been stunningly decorated and named for a historic figure. We stayed in the Henry James room, a king with canopy. After seeing 7 of the nine rooms we would have been happy in any of them. Having stayed... more

My wife and I stayed at The Charles Street Inn in Feb. 2003 (didn't list 2003 in stay dropdown). We chose the Inn because it was conveniently located near our wedding site, and because the Inn had received such great reviews. We found the Inn itself to be beautiful, and our room was quite cozy. Unfortunately the staff were a... more

This was our third stay at The Charles Street Inn and it continues to exceed our expectations. The 1st visit was for business, on the 2nd we had to combine some pleasure with business since this haven exudes romance, this last trip was for a much needed retreat, wanting only to indulge ourselves in the idyllic setting and pleasures of... more
