My husband and I have visited Boston many times and this is by far our favorite hotel experience. The guest house is directly in one of the most classic Boston neighborhoods. It is two blocks from famed Newbury Street, numerous restaurants and the Charles River. The building is absolutely beautiful. I kept commenting on the original features - the wrought... More

I just visited boston with a friend for a long week end, and found this guest house on fodor's guide. The guest house is very well located and has an awesome price. we had a room with a double bed (the size odìf the bed was very small) and two problems were the fact that internet was not working in... The location is good, but that's about it. We paid $129 per night for a "large room with kitchen" on the bottom level. The room was a damp basement room. During the night, water dripped on our heads in bed every time someone above used a sink. The "kitchen" had a ratty table, with 3 mismatched chairs and an electric... More

Yes, this room is on the (dry) basement level of our guest house, but we always encourage perspective guests to visit our website which has pictures and locations of each room. We also send a reservation confirmation with detailed information, including the fact that we do not provide a daily maid service. We do have a card however, to be... More

Centrally-located on an attractive, tree-lined street in Back Bay, this no-frills place is a terrific value for Boston ($149 per night for 2 people, including tax – many Boston hotels in worse locations are easily triple the price!), and offers super-courteous, helpful service. Brian and Chris assisted us during our booking and stay, and were terrific. When a rogue snowstorm... More

Good location, 5mins walk to T stop. Friendly and helpful on reception. Our room on 4th floor was a struggle with baggage but we knew that ie. plenty of warning about no lifts. Room was adequate, not too clean (cobwebs and dust) and shared bathroom was a downside but wasn't a big issue ( again we knew that was the... More

We stayed for 2 nights. We had a problem on night one & without any questioning the front desk guy refunded our costs. He had already been really helpful & informative & continued to be so throughout our stay. It is pretty basic but I wouldnt knock it for that. On a value for money scale it is excellent. And... More

463 Beacon Street is conveniently located about 1/4 mile from the Hynes Convention Center T stop in a beautiful stretch of Brownstones. It's just a block away from the shops and cafes on Newbury Street and a short walk from the Prudential Center. The price of accomodations is very reasonable. Note that it is a guest house and not a... More

I discovered 173 by accident on line. Nestled on Beacon Street, the old Brownstone is warm and inviting. And once inside the magic feelings begin. It is by no means a B&B, so if you're looking to get pampered, uyou've come to the wrong hotel. 463 is nothing like that. It is understated and elegant. The staff is friendly and... More

My husband and I loved our stay at 463 Beacon Street Guesthouse. We stayed in September and it was a perfect location and a perfect price! The front guest staff was very helpful with recommendations and directions. The Guesthouse was located in a great location, walking distance to Prudential Center, Back Bay and even Fenway if you up for a... More
