The Green Turtle II was perfect for our needs. We stayed several days for this year's Boston Marathon, and couldn't have been happier with our housing choice. We were two couples, and none of us had stayed overnight on a boat before so we weren't sure what to expect. We all loved the boat, and the food, and the location,... More

I booked a room to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday on the Green Turtle 1 which is more of a floating house than a yacht like the Green Turtle 2 and 3 and we loved it! The room was clean and very nice. the innkeepers we very friendly and upon checkout offered us a tour of their other two... More

Look at the reviews, they are spot-on and consensus says, this is a special place. Green Turtle exists for the guests and because 2 members of the "nice people" tribe run this place. This isn't just accommodation, this is "come and share ours lives for a while" experience. We are lucky enough to travel a lot and we all know... More

The Green Turtle is a floating paradise! Jon and Karen were wonderful hosts. They took the time to answer all of our questions, pointed out sites around the area, mapped out our walking routes and even sent us to a great restaurant in the North End. We loved the houseboat and the bed/bedding was super comfy. Hope to make this... More

My partner and I had planned a birthday celebration in Boston at the Green Turtle. This four-day weekend turned out to be memorable for many reasons. Unfortunately, this celebration occurred the Thursday after the Boston Marathon bombings. We went to Boston with mixed feelings of sadness, outrage, and anticipation of a great visit to a wonderful city. The reason that... More

Karen and Jon the innkeepers of this little gem couldn't have made our experience more delightful. The rooms on the Green Turtle 1 are comfortable, warm and inviting and include a well-stocked kitchenette. No amenity was left unaddressed (for example, snacks, drinks, coffee, tea, bottled water, toiletries and breakfast are all included - at no additional cost). Jon & Karen... More

When planning our trip we also wanted to include Boston. Checking out Tripadvisor I just kept coming over to the Green Turtle. Booking process went very smoothly, and our welcome by Jon and Karen made us feel very welcome indeed. The Green Turtle is quite simply wonderful! Its location, with the wonderful views of Boston, the sailboats, the really big... More

After reading all the great reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to make the Green Turtle Floating B&B our base for our 4 night's stay in Boston. We booked the Loggerhead suite, which one of two suites in Green Turtle 1, a floating Houseboat. The owners Karen and Jon also rent out two yachts, Green Turtle 11 and 111, and live... More

The Green Turtle is a floating bed and breakfast as luxurious as it is unique. Set in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard on Boston Harbor, the Green Turtle offers an expansive view of the Boston skyline along with the comfort and amenities of a modern bed and breakfast. The USS Constitution (Old Ironsides), the Bunker Hill Monument and the Freedom Trail are a short walk away. You can take the water ferry to numerous points along the waterfront. There are dining choices from bagels to world famous dining. The Green Turtle houseboat and yachts were designed for comfort above all and the only reminder you are floating in Boston Harbor is the sound of the gulls, motion of the sea and the reflection of the ocean dancing on the ceiling. It is delightful starting your day sipping coffee or enjoying a cold beverage after a day of sightseeing while sitting on your dock chairs or aft deck watching the harbor traffic and city skyline. The Green Turtle Floating Bed and Breakfast offers 3 boat choices. The Green Turtle I is a houseboat offering two private and separate suites and each has 1 queen sized bed with luxury linens. Each suite(Loggerhead and Sea Turtle) has a kitchenette and a private bathroom en suite. Each suite sleeps 2 or reserve both suites for 4 people.
