Great location but it ends there. Staff was unfamiliar with local attractions and offers. Our room was clean however our toilet broke upon arrival and although fixed in a timely manner never really worked right. The shower was a very small stall shower with no place for a shampoo bottle or even a large bar of soap. We had only... more

We stayed for 2 nights early October 2009. The valet parking is easy, you just trun up and get out of your car, but it costs $36 a night. Unfortunately there are no self parking facilities at the hotel. Our room was a standard modern hotel room. Clean and tidy with just one large rip in the carpet. It's next... more

Staff welcomes you with warm chocolate chip cookies. Always a great beginning! Staff were generally very accommodating with any questions or concerns. Less than a block from the 'T'. Appreciated use of the business center to do computer work and printing. Some problems with all the computers working, however. Do not expect a shuttle from the airport. General reservations is... more

With plenty of superior options nearby (Radisson, Marriott, etc) for similar prices, there is really no reason why this hotel even exists. As people have said, the parking situation is poor and expensive. The internet is expensive and slow, and only worked in one corner of our room. The computers in the "business centers" ran at a snail's pace, and... more

I don't remember a lot about the room itself unfortunately because I stayed there one night just before a 7-day New England/Canada cruise but, the concierge/bell-hop was very helpful and attentive. I forget his name but he was African or middle-eastern with glasses. I didn't like that you had to take stairs or one slow and relatively small elevator to... more

My husband and I recently stayed in the Boston Doubletree in the theatre district and were very pleasantly surprised. Before arriving, we had read some 'so-so' reviews of the area, and were considering staying elsewhere, but in the end, we were very happy with our choice. It is literally right outside of the T-stop, which couldn't have been more convenient,... more

Stayed in September on holidays for a few days. Location was good, very convenient to city. Rooms were good standard and very quiet. Staff were helpful and ideal location for a trip to Boston. more

Great location right next to T station, very close to Boston Common and about 10 mins walk to downtown. Rooms were very comfortable indeed - modern, clean and very spacious. Absolutely everything we wanted. Front dest staff were OK, but we asked them to mail a postcard for us (pre-stamped) and it never arrived. .Good restaurants nearby (had a lovely... more

Even though the hotel is old and poorly equipped, I can't imagine it being in such a severe need of money that the management rents rooms to women who are obviously prostitutes. I stayed for 5 days, so I was at the hotel during the week as well as the weekend, and I couldn't tell you the number of times... more

This is the second time I've stayed at a Doubletree in the past two months. The service my husband and I received at both properties was exceptional. Yes, the property looks a bit run-down compared to its more glamorous competitors a few blocks away; however, I saw notices posted in the elevator that refurbishment was to begin soon. The Doubletree... more
