Decent hotel rooms in Boston under $200 are next to impossible to find, so I was very pleasantly surprised with my room at the Chandler Inn. I stayed in one of the recently renovated Boutique Queen rooms. Yes the room was smaller than what you would find at the chain hotels, but it was spotless and nicely decorated, and the... more

The gay bar downstairs (Fritz) has lots of customers, who stand out in the street talking loudly right up until 2.30 am, at which time the bartenders drag the (equally loud) empty bottles out to the curb. All rooms (even the upgraded ones) face Chandler Street where bar patrons enter, so you hear every word, shout, and song. Ugh! more

The Chandler Inn is ok - nothing more, just a place to drop one's suitcases and sleep overnights. Rooms (I stayed on one of the 8th flloor "desgner rooms" for four nights) are clean enough and spacious enough, but with very very slow housekeeping service. Front desk service: varied - some brilliantly friendly, but the old blokes (if you are... more

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Chandler Inn. It was our first trip to Boston, and the desk staff was very knowledgeable about where to go and how to get there. They really knew Boston, and were friendly and helpful. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Only negative was that the shower was like showering under... more

My friend and I really found the hotel to be very charming. It was located in the Southend of Boston, and was easy to access the rail system, or downtown by foot. When I return to Boston, I will be back. Very easy to get to and from the airport without a car so that made it all the better... more

I thought that given the excellent service the staff at the hotel gave me a positive review was the least I could offer so let me start with first impressions. I arrived at the Chandler (one block away from the bus station so a good start) to find that for some reason the third party booking company I had used... more

I stayed at Chandler Inn Hotel at the beginning of September 2009. The hotel is situated at a 5-7-minute walk from the Back Bay Amtrak/Orange Line station in a residential area featuring rows of brownstones. The check-in went smoothly, the guy at the reception being efficient and friendly. There is a coffee-machine in the lobby of the hotel, which became... more

Enjoyed a great stay again celebrating my birthday - road trip gift to myself - this time in one of the new upgraded Boutique rooms - in room 8 on 7th floor which was very clever of Gretchen (Manager who remembered me from a previous visit - very unusual in this day and age) as that was my birth date.... more
