You get what you pay for. Pros: Inexpensive, good wifi signal, decent continental breakfast, friendly staff. Cons: Slow processing at front desk by technically challenged staff, no apparent elevator, slow tub drain that results in standing in ankle-deep water by the end of your shower, low quality towels/sheets/etc. more

I had stayed at the Microtel in March of this year to just relax and have a small needed quiet time, so I thought. When I went to check in the manager Tammie that was working the desk told me that they did not have any rooms until after 3pm and check in time is suppose to be at 2... more

We stopped here for one night as we were returing from the holidays. We normally have good success with Microtel, but this is a gross property. We should have known this was going to be trouble when we pulled up and saw curtains flying out of open windows. Our room was musty/smoky smelling (supposed to be non-smoking). The carpet was... more

Stayed for a week in June, 2007. Two fairly big beds, comfortable but not spectacular. Small tv. Carpets hadn't been cleaned in depth in a long time. Room was a little dark, dark colors throughout, and poor lighting. Bathroom was decent, very average. Some occasional noise from the hallways, probably thin walls. All in all, a decent budget hotel. We booked a group of rooms for my daughter's wedding and the nightmare started the day of arrival. We reserced a suite but it was not available so we had to get two rooms. Even though check in is at 1:00 we were told our rooms would not be ready until 2:00. We had four adults in a room but... more

First when we arrived they had made a mistake on our reservations and did not have the package we had asked for. Not a big problem but I was expecting tickets to come with our hotel room. The room itself was dark. The staff was friendly but the property itself was awful. You would not know it from the outside... more

I could not in good conscience recommend this place to anyone! I made my reservations on the internet 2 months in advance. When I called to confirm them before I left, they didn't have my reservation. (Should have been my first red flag!) If I could have gone to another hotel, I would have; but, none were available, and I... more

I found this hotel to be average. The room's lighting was very dim and the carpet had not been cleaned recently. more

Stayed at the Microtel for one night at the beginning of April 2004.Easy to find and although not in the heart of Tupelo there were still lots of restaurants a short drive away.Daughter enjoyed sitting in the window seat & watching the world go by!The free breakfast was a pleasant surprise with fruit juice, tea & coffe, muffins & cereal... more

Tupelo is a nice place to visit, but will probably not be going back. Stayed at the new Microtel and the accomodations were very nice. The place was clean. The only exception to the place was the full-length horizontal mirror in the room. It gave the feeling that someone was watching. more
