We stayed overnight in Harrison, Arkansas, on our way to southern Arkansas to look at the leaves. We were unsure of our travel date so se were stuck with being a walk-in customer at the Hampton Inn. The building and grounds looked new and were very clean. I inquired about the rate for the evening and found that the best rate possible was $107 with my AARP card, which seemed pretty expensive for such a small town. There was a Holiday Inn Express next door so I drove over there and checked their rates and learned that their rate was very similar to the Hampton Inn. We’ve stayed at other Hampton Inns in the past and have never had a bad experience so I returned to the Hampton Inn and got my room. As the Steven, the clerk, was checking me in he related that they own the Holiday Inn Express too, hence the same rate.
