Have stayed at Crystal Pier several times in the past 10 years. The staff (Randy) is always friendly and ready to help with any problem. If anything is not up to par just tell JIM and it will be fixed NOW. Maids go out of their way to get things for you. You can't really put into words the enjoyment... more

I was invited to tag along with some friends that were staying at the Crystal Pier for a few days and I am so glad I did. The location is amazing, the cottages are nicely furnished and the sunsets from the pier are spectacular. A few negatives; we were given cottage 22 which appears to be the “runt” of the... more

If you want a truly relaxing, unique experience-be sure and "sleep over the ocean". After a very disappointing non-check in experience at another hotel in Pacific Beach-we were frantically trying to find another place to stay and fortunately the Crystal Pier Hotel and Cottages had a vacancy. We were so surprised as we know how popular this location can be.... more

My wife and I were first introduced to Crystal Pier in 2004 by my mother who has been a frequent visitor to the hotel for some time now. We had planned a trip to Disneyland on the first leg of out vacation, and immediately following that needed a break from the mass of people at the park and booked a... more

We stayed at Crystal Pier in November 2008 as a first stop on a 3 week trip around the west coast. After a 13 hour flight from Australia and then a 2 and a half hour drive from LA it was great to arrive at Crystal Pier. We are a family of 5 (2 adults & kids 13,11,8) - the... more

Crystal Pier is great if your looking for beautiful view's and a nice clean comfortable room. I stayed at a "cottage" a few hotels over that was the same price and it pailed in comparison. I enjoyed the fact that they close the pier off to the public once it get's dark so only the people staying there have access.... more

This was my 8th consecutive year of staying at the Crystal Pier - I have no excuse for not doing it during the first 39 years of my life. I love this hotel and look forward to visting it every year for as long as I am able. My wife, daughter and I think of the annual visit to Crystal... more

We enjoyed a stay with our best friends on his birthday. The sunset was so beautiful. The wave gently wash up below the rooms and make a lovely sound for sleeping. Each cottage is decorated beautifully and is very comfortable. The patio out your backdoor is private with a gate that opens onto the pier, also private just for you... more

Crystal Pier is one-of-a-kind never to be duplicated. We passed by the Pier a few years ago and promised to stay there on our next visit. We really enjoyed our stay for 2 nights over the Pacific rocking with the waves. The faciliy is old, but very well maintained. Our cottage was well furnished and provided a great opportunity to... more

Just wanted to say how much we love staying at these great cottages. I am born & raised in San Diego & this is my favorite place to stay for a local getaway. We have been going there at least once a year for the past 10 years or so & have always had an excellent time. I have read... more
