Everything was just perfect there... it is an awesome hostel. The space and the location are great, but the better thing was the staff... they were ALL so kind, nice people always ready to help. Organized and clean, so I do recommend it! more

Dirty rooms, dirty kitchen and dirty bathrooms. Not all independent hostels are dumps, but this one is. Perhaps some BB hostels are OK, but not OB and Mission Beach. The Good: Free and easy to organise pick up made it easy to get to the hostel after a long flight. The free breakfast was awesome, worth getting outta bed early for. Firstly, and most importantly, the town of Ocean Beach is fantastic, make sure you stay here if you're visiting San Diego. It has a slightly hippy air, with its independent coffee shops, antique stores, a fantastic beach and some really fun bars. However, give the Ocean Beach International Hostel a miss. an amazing location on the main road just off the beach, ecclectic bunch of travellers to meet and party hard with then surf the next day. The lodge has a great culture, enthusiastic staff and wel orgabised/clean rooms. Il be back for sure! more
