This is the absolute worse hotel I have stayed at ever. The room was filthy. The carpets and walls stained. The TV had poor reception on all channels. The tub was stained too. When I first arrived the A/C didn't work and when I called the front desk, the manager argued. He finally came up and played with the controls... more

This hotel smelled, was unbelievably dirty and the manager automatically charges you an extra $1.50 for a safe rental, without telling you in advance. We never used the safe and did not notice the fee until we left the hotel (we could not get out of that dump fast enough!). We called, on principle about the safe fee, and the... more

I stayed here for two days after Christmas. On the plus side, the staff were extremely nice, and the rooms featured spacious small refrigerators and new microwaves. The hotel also has free wifi. On the down side, the hotel itself it a bit rundown. The featured continental breakfast was only coffee, cereal, and pastries (the juice machine was not working... more

In Feb 2002 while on a Disneyland trip we decided to visit San Diego for an evening. Since we were staying at the Howard Johnson Inn at Disneyland (a great hotel by the way and one we would definately recommend) we thought we would make a reservation for the HoJo in San Diego. Can't go wrong right? Wrong. BIG MISTAKE.... more

Okay, first off, I arrived in San Diego a day early, we drove from Northern California and we did not think we would make it the entire way. But we did. We had reservations at the Radisson in Downtown San Diego but for an extra night it would be almost $300. My family and I decided to stay somewhere out... more
