I stayed at this hotel for three days mid-October and found the rooms to be generously sized, clean and quiet. The staff was professional and courteous and the public spaces were contemporary in decor. And you can't go wrong with bowls of taffy and Necco wafers! Although San Diego is very easily travelled, we particularly enjoyed the location of this Marriot. It's literally steps away from Petco Park, and despite other reviews, we had no trouble driving back to the hotel in baseball traffic. Just got back from a few days in the Gas Lamp area. This hotel is very solid. Perfect location, right next to Petco Park, close to airport, walking distance to everything.
