This hotel is amazing. Perfect location right across from Petco Park. Everything you would expect from a Marriott. Good service, clean rooms, and free taffy! The only downfall is that there is only valet parking for $30/day. Otherwise you can search for another parking garage. There also is no swimming pool! more

Stayed here in early July to see some Padres games and it was the perfect location, right beside Petco Park. We watched batting practice from the rooftop lounge, then walked across the street to see the games. But, you are paying for the location. Every year I for the last 8 years I have been showing my art at the Comic-Con convention. Initially, we always stayed at the Marriott Marina. While the Marina is a beautiful location (with a pool), I now prefer the Gaslamp. Crossing the street after the convention can be a major pain, but you are rewarded with the perks only... more
