Good clean hotel though perhaps a bit dated. No free breakfast and of course buying it there is not cheap. Reception and rooms are well presented. A good pool area and other amenities are perfect. The bar is a bit small for groups on some evening and it closes a bit early but there are plenty of other watering holes nearby. I've spent 10 nights here over 2011 and will be back. I like Rancho Bernardo. So I looked for hotel in this specific area. The hotel was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a family trip (2+2). All worked good for us and we really have nothing negative to specify (maybe mattresses were too soft for us - that's all). More

Stayed one night on business in a nearby location. Room pricing was excellent and with the included breakfast as a HH Gold - it was a real steal. Breakfast was better than average with cooked to order foods. Room was very comfortable with the beds having adjustments for softness.
