My husband and I just returned from our romantic weekend at the Britt Scripps Inn. We are celebrating our 11th anniversary. Beautiful historic building, romantic, magical! Close to everything you could want to see in San Diego. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is outstanding, our compliments to the chef! Complimentary wine and cheese in the evening.... more

My husband and I stayed at Britt Scripps for our wedding night in October. I had been searching for quite some time for a hotel where I could check in early and get ready for our wedding. I found a great price on orbitz and I called the Inn directly and they matched it. They put us in the Carriage... more

Ok, I don't know where to start other than this place Rocks! The food is Gourmet Homemade. The scones ohhh the scones I'm going back for more. The Staff was amazingly great with happy smiles and helpful tips for around the town dine out places. For the first time going to a B+B it was an amazing experience. more

The Inn has many charming qualities from the gardens outside to the period furniture inside. The Inn's staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the San Diego area. The breakfast was an additional plus with several items to select from. I stayed in the Balboa Room and I did not get as much noise as the other reviewers. The location... more

Went to this B & B expecting the quality of service this price and style suggest; found noisy rooms (not street noise) and a different "butler" each day! Could not get to know any of the staff because there was always someone diffrent. The breakfast at first was a home made scone. After consumption, the 'butler' returns to take our... more

We stayed here for my cousin's wedding. She and her groom were staying in the Presidential room (I think it was called), but due to the fires in San Diego, they had to go get their cat, so they ended up staying in the carriage house. That put me in the Presidential room. It was nothing short of breathtaking. Everything... more

My husband and I stayed at Britt Scripps Inn for two nights. We were in the library on the first floor. The only negative was the room is a little loud with single pane windows against the road traffic. However, we slept well through the noise because the bed was so comfortable. The sheets were 1000 count cotton. The mattress... more

The reviews below are accurate. This hotel has been buffed out and is in great condition. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Our experience was great until we tried to sleep. The (historic) single pane windows don't stop street noise from buses, trucks and airplanes. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. more

What an amazing place. We booked having read reviews etc on trip advisor. The staff were all so friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble and always on hand to offer suggestions of places to visits etc. The ambience of the building was amazing. We stayed for 5 nights before travelling on to Honolulu and loved every minute of... more

We stayed at the Britt Scripps in the Library Room, and had a wonderful time in San Diego. The hotel is only a few minutes from Balboa Park, and the Airport. The house is gorgeous--restored to the very last detail. Our room had a large claw foot tub, a feather top queen bed and 1000 thread count sheets. The breakfast... more
