The Keating is a hip, little hotel in an old building built in 1890 , and is very well located. The location couldn't be better. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping, Petco Park, and the trolley to take you to Old Town or Qualcom Stadium. The hotel is decorated very hip and modern. I like that. Since the hotel is... more

I stayed at this hotel mid July and I have to say when I arrived I was a bit confused of why there was a dive bar right next door to the hotel entrance to top it of there were about 5 people smoking cigarettes out on the patio which caused my whole body to smell like smoke (so much... more

The Keating is a gorgeous old hotel recently updated with modern design and ammenities. Our room was a 4th floor corner studio layout, but despite it being all one room it was extremely spacious. The bed was the single most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and combined with the 'ocean waves' button on the alarm clock radio it... more

The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and are right in the smack middle of downtown, however, they fail to mention that on top of the cost of the hotel you have to put down a $150 holding fee in case there are any damages. This is a huge inconvenience for more of the younger crowd who simply go with just enough... more

The Keating has a great location, nice staff and our hotel suite had plenty of room to move around. We had a great stroll in the Gas Lamp District, wonderful dinner at Kroces and settle in to watch a PPV movie and enjoy a glass of wine. At 10 PM a band at a nightclub, below our room begin to... more

I recently stayed at the Keating Hotel and it was amazing. There rooms are incredible. Great style and flash. Hi-tech and brand new entertainment and appliances. The service was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and professional. No issues at all...they must have new staff because I didnt have any complaints. The rooms were clean and their turndown service was... more

My husband and I decided to take the kids for a fun getaway downtown. We decided on the Keating because of the location and cool design. Our son loves racecars so this place was a dream. Each floor has a replica Ferrari in the hallway. The bathtub is even the same design as a Ferrari's rearview mirror. We spent the... more

This place is all appearance and no substance. Good to take picture for a designer magazine but nothing else. And a bad concept of design, in fact, which no thought given to the purpose and the positioning of the furniture. The end result is an uncorfortable room. The staff seems to have little idea of what their job is about.... more

Do not get the "prepaid rate". I did that on the Internet and when I cancelled my reservation I was not told I would not receive a refund. If I had known that I would have rescheduled. Staff are young and uninformed. Ambiguious Internet information....one page says "prepaid" and the next says "no penality for 72 cancellation notice". Total rip... more

Our stay at The Keating last weekend was Great! The service was amazing and fast. Anything we asked for came up to our room within minutes. Very exceptional design and clean. LOVED the turn down service with italian cookies. Location was fabulous, close to shopping, dining and partying. Their lounge was great for an after dinner drink with friends. The... more
