We decided to stay in town to get away from the norm and catch a padre game. The westin was perfect. The room was great and our concierge gave us the perfect trip through the gaslamp, hitting a bunch of the infamous bars on our way to the game. It was only a two stop trip on the trolley back... more

The Westin San Diego is a great hotel for a downtown San Diego get away. The hotel is clean, neat, and very comfortable. I was visiting San Diego with my two daughters and we had a great room, comfortable beds, and great room service. The hotel is also in a great location which is walking distance to the Gas Lamp... more

Two things to note regarding my stay: 1. Check your baths towels before you start using them when you get out of the shower, two of the four towels had long strands of brown hair folded into them - disgusting is right! 2. Beware of having your vehicle valet'd at the hotel ... my vehicle returned with significant front end... more

Westin took over this property about a year ago - building still needs a bit more upgrading but nothing serious and rooms are large, well appointed with great views. (ask for Bay View). We like the downtown location - short walk to bayfront park and restaurants as well as two blocks to trolley and transportation hub - just park the... more

This hotel is in downtown San Diego and is the best location to explore San Diego. I have a two year old and a fourteen year old. The youngest was absolutely amazed that he could see from our room all of the ships passing on the San Diego Bay and the red trolley that stops one block away from the... more

Stayed here with girlfriend for a week as temp housing during a business move out of town. It was a very nice hotel, as all Westin Hotels are, but nothing to get too excited about. Bathrooms are a little wierd, pocket doors and no vent fan. Take a shower and it is a sauna for an hour. But the room... more

We stayed 2 nights at the Downtown Westin during the US Open. I found this to be a very adequate hotel. The room was clean, the bed comfy, nice linens. Service Ok. I really can't say there was anything wrong with the experience. The desk clerk was alittle robotic. What I didn't like was that I found it to be... more

The hotel was good. It is near Horton Plaza, Convention Center, Harbor. Bathroom is roomy, beds are very comfortable, carpet was soft and clean. Our room was across the elevator and near the ice machine but did not hear any noise during our 4 days stay. The only problem is that there are two Westin Hotels in San Diego downtown... more

This joint is a ho-hum hotel that is more suited for business travelers than for couples on vacation. The service is what you'd expect from Westin, but nothing about this hotel really stood out. We were here for a formal dinner in the large conference room and I swear my shoe leather was softer then the beef. The front desk... more

I stayed at the Westin for a conference and absolutely LOVED the room. The room was very clean, the beds were soooo comfortable, the shower with its double head was great, the TV was a plasma screen, and wireless worked very well. The only problems I had was the remote control battery dying and the internet not working after the... more
